Celebrating the life of

Frances Audrey Peterson

June 26, 1924 - October 10, 2012

Frances Audrey Peterson

Audrey Bullis Peterson- Audrey was a long-lived Savannahian. Her family was her life. She was an amazingly dutiful daughter, never living more than 10 blocks from her parents, Eunice and Gordon Strickland. Audrey was blessed to have two devoted husbands. Lawrence Bullis was the love of her life, and she cared for him until his untimely demise. She later married Donald Peterson. They played bridge, joined dance clubs, and provided each other with much needed companionship.

Her son, Larry Bullis, was blessed to have such wonderful parents who supported his activities from Little League baseball to college football. She doted on her two granddaughters Cam Bullis Miller and Katherine Bullis Carter, billing themselves as the "Fun Girls." They were only limited by their imaginations. Audrey's great grandchildren, Kelsey and Sarah Miller, were the icing on the cake for her.

Audrey retired from the Corps of Engineers after forty-plus years of service which ended with her as Chief of Procurement. She had many cherished friends that she made over the years.

She was active in many civic and social organizations and was a life-time member of Ardsley Park Baptist Church. Her church friends Mercer and J.B. Blackburn checked on her every week until her death.

Audrey's life was an example of love of God, devotion to family, and enjoyment of her circle of friends.

She will be loved and missed by them forever.

Audrey was buried in a Christian family service Friday, October 12, 2012.
